California Churches Must Pay for Abortions

California churches are now facing another attack under new healthcare laws. While the California legislature has followed national precedence by allowing religious organizations to opt-out of contraceptive coverage under their insurance programs, California is trying to exploit a “loop-hole” for the pro-abortion agenda. California churches are now required to cover the costs of abortions as “basic health care.”

Churches throughout the state have filed formal complaints against the new requirements. A recent ruling by the Supreme Court held that religious organizations are not required pay for that part of their employee’s insurance plan that chemically kills children. This should include not only contraceptives but abortion as well. Still, California is trying to weasel out of this ruling and give in to the pro-abortion lobby.

TAKE ACTION:

Contact the California Senate Committee on Health and demand that they follow federal law and allow Christian churches to opt-out of abortion coverage.
