SPIRITUAL LESSONS 3. 

MORTIFICATION.

These lessons conform to the Bible.  

No teaching that comes from God will ever be at odds with it, even in the tiniest detail.

We often are faced with those things in our selves which we want to be rid of.

Those weaknesses which we can only get rid of through the spirit, dying to them.

This is called mortification.

Whether this becomes a daily practise or not depends on us. 

Only we know who we are and what we must, through the spirit, crucify in our flesh, so as to be reborn in spirit to a new life worthy and acceptable to ourselves, others and to God, capable of enjoying life to the full, as it was meant to be.

Every effort we make in this regard is rewarded with grace. We feel it, the strength it gives us and are enlightened by it, so we can progress further on our spiritual journey.

We should be thankful always for this grace and continually strive for perfection.

SPIRITUAL LESSON 4.

GETTING TO KNOW JESUS.

God is reaching out to all of us at this time.

All who call on the Lord will be answered.

If you never try you will never know.

The person of Jesus reveals himself to us full of love for us. There is no condemnation in Christ, even when we sin. The condemnation comes from ourselves. Thats why we need to cry out to Him when we sin.

Develop a relationship of love with Our Lord.

He loves it when we come to him in our weakness and simplicity. He is interested in the slightest things we have to share with him, as well as the profundities & weightier things in our lives.

Through Him we come to the Father.

God orders all things at all times for our good, and even our falls when we return to Him.
