And according to the latest update from the 29 west coast ports that serve as the entry point of the bulk of Asia/Pac trade into and out of the US, things are about to get far worse for America’s manufacturing base, because as RILA reported earlier, talks between the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) representing port management, and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) officially broke down on Wednesday, and without an agreement, experts have suggested that nearly 30 west coast ports could be shut down within a week.

Not sure why this is posted in the Spirituality section. Unions are a force for the good of the many v’s the greed of the tiny few. If you want your supply then pay the people doing the work at least a living wage. It’s always been the remit of the tiny few to scream and sob about how it’s going to destroy the world if they can’t make billions in profit to feed their army of useless eater shareholders. But in all examples where a living wage, decent working conditions, holidays etc have been forced out of the greedy tiny few, they have not only been proven wrong but it completely wrong in every way, on the contrary a strong well paid working and middle class = a strong society.

Without the Unions your working week would be 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a half day off sunday morning to go to church. No benefits, no holidays, no time off for yourself, no safety net if you become too sick to work. If you lost your job your whole family suffered, were thrown out of their home onto the streets.
