It’s not based on anything historical. He makes his first historical mistake in his opening sentence claiming Josephus was Jewish, when Judaism didn’t exist until after 70 CE. He was not the greatest Jewish historian in that period, there were no Jews in that period at all.

The only connection between the biblical Jesus character and the Essene is the found fragments of texts contained in the Jewish bible found in the Dead Sea Scroll catch. Thought to have been preserved by the Essene when they were being persecuted by Rome, leading up to Romes annihilation of Judeans and total destruction of Judea in 70 CE.
There are many such catches in the middle east, of ancient texts buried by people to preserve them from the book burners. This doesn’t mean they believed what was written in the texts, just that they believed the texts deserved to exist for posterity.

Using a false translation, as you do, there is no way to read what God meant to be inspired and written by the writers of the books of the Bible. Try an ACCURATE translation. In NO WAY do ANY scriptures EVER say Jesus is God. They say that he is a god, but not God. How can Jesus pray to himself, resurrect himself, send himself, not know the day and hour that only God knows, and many other things the scriptures say about him.
