Another Christian Chaplain Rebuked by Military for Faith
Another military chaplain is facing punishment for holding to strong to biblical views and values. Just months before reaching twenty years of service, Navy Chaplain Wes Modder is facing career-ending discipline for sharing his Christian faith in a private counseling session with Navy sailors. Modder is a chaplain at the South Carolina’s Charleston Goose Creek Navy Base.
According to documents obtained by Fox News, Modder was threatened with discipline after he was accused of failing “to show tolerance and respect” in private counseling sessions in regards to issues pertaining to faith, marriage and sexuality, specifically homosexuality and pre-marital sex.
Chaplains have faced an increasing amount of hostility since President Obama repealed the important “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, allowing military members to be openly homosexual. Religious liberties of military members have suffered ever since.
