Minnesota Somali community rallied to support the accused Terrorist suspects UNFREAKINBELIEVABLE!
About 100 members of Minnesota’s Somali community rallied on the steps of the State Capitol Saturday in support of the families of six young men accused of trying to join ISIS in Syria Midnimo reported.
Participants said they are angry because they believe the young men are not being treated as though they are innocent until proven guilty. Rally organizer Mohamud Noor also called for state leaders to step in and support the Somali community by helping to identify who may be radicalizing young people.
“This is not a problem for the Somalis. It’s a Minnesota problem. It’s a US problem. It’s a global problem,” Noor said. “We can defeat this process if we all come together.”

Hassan faces three counts of lying to the FBI.Each terrorism count carries a 15-year maximum prison sentence. The prosecutors allege the women went door-to-door and held teleconferences to solicit donations for the fighters. In one of those recorded calls, investigators allege, Ali said to “forget about the other charities” and focus on “the jihad.”
Ali and Hassan, both U.S. citizens of Somali descent, were among 20 people charged in Minnesota’s long-running federal investigations into recruiting and financing for al-Shabab, which the U.S. considers a terror group with ties to al-Qaida. Investigators believe at least 21 men left Minnesota — home to the country’s largest Somali community — to join al-Shabab.
