-Wheaton College Wins Case Against Contraceptive and Abortifacient Mandate

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Wheaton College has won their legal battle against the HHS Contraceptive Mandate which was initiated by the Obama Administration. From the Christian Post:

Wheaton College has won a five-year battle to fulfill its Christian mission without having to provide services like the week-after pill and abortion-inducing drugs in its healthcare plans.

A district court judge has ruled that the government would violate federal civil rights laws if it forced the Illinois-based Christian liberal arts college to provide some services, which are required by the contraceptive mandate under the Obama administration’s Affordable Care Act, against its religious beliefs.

Response: This is really good news for religious freedom and for Pro-Life supporters. The tide has turned against the HHS Contraceptive Mandate. Look for nearly all of the 100 or so cases to be ruled in favor of religious freedom.

Also note that President Trump has said that he and his administration will support the traditional understanding of religious freedom so rulings like this against Obama’s HHS Mandate will not be appealed.

Conservative Bible believing Christians should take note that the results of this case and the fact that it will not be appealed by the current administration supports the importance of voting even when you don’t necessarily whole heartedly support any of the candidates. Elections really do have consequences and real results.

If Hillary Clinton were president, the the HHS Contraceptive Mandate would undoubtedly continue to be enforced and appeals would follow any ruling in favor of religious liberty and pro-life. Fortunately freedom of religion, which is still under assault,  has nevertheless dodged a major bullet as a result of the last presidential election and this particular decision.               *Top
