-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 61

Read Psalm 61 and then join us in prayer:

Our Father,

Hear our cry O Lord, Listen to our prayers. From the ends of the earth believers in your Son Jesus are calling to you. The church is being persecuted as never before, those called by the name of your Son are being sacrificed daily by those who say they pray to you but follow a false prophet and word.

Let this be the generation that really follows the rock that is higher than us, let your Son be reflected in the church as never before. Let us stand on the shoulders of previous revivals, send down your Kingdom to dwell in our midst and cleanse us from our sins and from the influence of the evil one. Let your tent come down and dwell with us and cover us in the shadow of your wings. Let your hosts keep the enemy and his minions out and let us break through and become the church we are called to be all around the world.

You have instilled in us the heritage of former moves, the testimony of past generations which were touched by heaven and awakened in a special way. Let us begin where they left off and continue until every nation has heard of your Son and the Good News is preached among every people and nation on the earth. Let us participate in the Great Harvest, let the church rise up and fulfill its destiny.

Let your Kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Let us dwell in your presence forever and sing praises before your throne now and for all eternity.
