Μετά το βραβείο στο Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου του Λονδίνου και τα δύο βραβεία στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ιεράπετρας, η ταινία “Σαν τους Γλάρους πάνω από τον Κεράτιο” του Θωμά Σίδερη απέσπασε την ΤΙΜΗΤΙΚΗ ΔΙΑΚΡΙΣΗ στο 9ο Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου της Αθήνας, ανάμεσα σε 3.000 συμμετοχές από 150 χώρες.

H ταινία συμμετείχε επίσης και στο επίσημο διαγωνιστικό πρόγραμμα του AEGEAN DOCS, στο οποίο επιλέχθηκαν 8 μόνο ελληνικά ντοκιμαντέρ, και προβλήθηκε το Σάββατο 3 Οκτωβρίου στη Λήμνο.

H σύγχρονη ιστορία της αρχαιότερου εκπαιδευτικού ιδρύματος του Ελληνισμού, της Πατριαρχικής Μεγάλης του Γένους Σχολής μέσα από τα μάτια των μαθητών και των δασκάλων της. Και μαζί, ένα αλλιώτικο ταξίδι στην Κωνσταντινούπολη των δεκαετιών 1950 και 1960. Ό,τι γλύκανε και ό,τι πίκρανε τις ψυχές των Ρωμιών το δεύτερο μισό του περασμένου αιώνα. Το περίφημο κόκκινο λεωφορείο και οι θρυλικοί κινηματογράφοι της οδού Ιστικλάλ, αλλά και τα Σεπτεμβριανά και οι απελάσεις του 1964.
