Τό ἑσπέρας τῆς 24ης Ἰουνίου 2021, ἐπ’ εὐκαιρίᾳ τῆς ἑορτῆς τοῦ Γενεσίου τοῦ Τιμίου Προδρόμου καί Βαπτιστοῦ Ἰωάννου ἐτελέσθη ἐν τῷ Ἱερῷ Ἁγιάσματι τοῦ Ἁγίου Ἰωάννου τοῦ Προδρόμου, τό ὁποῖον εὑρίσκεται ἐντός τῶν Θεραπείων, Ἱερά Παράκλησις καί ἀρτοκλασία ὑπέρ ὑγείας καί μακροημερεύσεως τῶν παρευρισκομένων πιστῶν, χοροστατοῦντος τοῦ Σεβ. Μητροπολίτου Γέροντος Δέρκων κ. Ἀποστόλου.

Κατά τάς Ἱεράς Ἀκολουθίας παρευρέθησαν πιστοί τῆς Χριστιανικῆς Κοινότητος τῶν Θεραπείων, ἀλλά καί πιστοί τῆς Ἰσλαμικῆς θρησκείας, οἱ ὁποῖοι εὐλαβοῦνται τόν Ἅγιον Ἰωάννη.

Τό Ἱερόν Ἁγίασμα ἀνηγέρθη τήν 24ην Ἰουνίου 1864 καί τελοῦνται αἱ ἱεραί ἀκολουθίαι καθ’ ἔτος ἐπί τῇ μνήμῃ τοῦ Γενεσίου τοῦ Ἁγίου Ἰωάννου ἕως καί τήν σήμερον.
