Read Amos 7 and then join us in prayer:

Our Father,

You proclaimed judgment upon the ancient nation of Israel and particularly it’s ruler Jeroboam. The prophet Amos interceded for the nation and you didn’t bring the locust or fire that would have affected all of the people both great and small. However you did declare judgment upon the unfaithful King Jeroboam and the false places of worship and false religious leaders like Amaziah.

We continue to pray and intercede for America; we pray for mercy and revival instead of judgment. If judgment is in order, let your plumbline measure the false political, economic, and cultural leaders along with the false religious leaders that need to be exposed; those that lead the nation toward evil instead of your Word. 

Let the truth prevail and let your Son be lifted up and may this nation honor your Word and praise your name once more.

In Jesus name, Amen.
