Epiphany 2022 Photopost
The feast of the Epiphany celebrates many aspects of Our Lord’s life, and this year’s photopost shows us several different liturgical expressions of this: the blessing of the waters, which remains as popular as ever, and which we see here in both its Roman and Byzantine forms; the blessing of incense; sung Vespers; and the feast of the Holy Family. As always we are grateful to everyone who sent these in, and we wish all of our readers a prosperous and holy New Year, in which we will continue the good work of evangelizing through beauty.
Holy Mass, followed by a procession with the image of the Child Jesus, then the Te Deum and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, celebrated by Dom Dirceu de Oliveira Medeiros, newly ordained Bishop of Camaçari, Bahia, Brazil, and former member of the clergy of the diocese of São João Del Rei.
