Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-

Read Psalm 72 and then join us in prayer:

Our Father,

Please O God, help us to become agents of your justice and righteousness; by your Holy Spirit counsel us and give us insights on how to treat everyone especially the poor with justice.

May your servants defend the cause of the poor, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and help to defeat their oppressors.  May the evil one and his minions shrink away from your servants who administer in your name and according to your Holy Spirit.

In our day may the righteous flourish, and peace abound, and the church rise up and fulfill its destiny. May your Kingdom be preached from sea to sea, and all around the world. May your Kingdom expand to every nation, the believers of your Son be redeemed among every people, and let your Word spread and let your church rise up and be active in every language, nation, and people.

May all nations and peoples come to the knowledge of your Son and call Him blessed. Blessed be your name O Lord God of Israel, you alone have done miracles and wondrous things in the past.  Let your signs and wonders confirm the words of your Son Jesus and the testimony of his servants in this generation.

Blessed be your glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with your glory.
