Pushing back
the creeping darkness,
crucified light!
Emerging triumphantly
from a shadowy realm.
Bursting forth
from breathless death,
life resurrected, victorious,
reigning eternally,
seeking hearts for a fledging church
forever blest with tongues of fire,
spirit led, with the Christ at the helm!

adored upon each altar
of presence,
