“When the soldiers had crucified Jesus they took his garments and made four parts, one for each soldier; also his tunic. But the tunic was without seam, woven from top to bottom”
Jesus, the Christ.
Priest, Prophet, King,
Messiah, the Chosen one, the Beloved Son.
His seamless garment adorning his regal corpus,
revealing the human person.
The very sacrifice of divinity,
demonstrating the sanctity of priestly ministry.
Loved, each person embracing the human story,
loved by the Suffering Christ,
who endured the arduous journey towards the cross of salvation.
This pilgrimage of love
undertaken by our high priest,
one sent from above,
offering divine protection for a priestly people,
a broken people, a weary, downtrodden struggling people,
an afflicted people, festering in the dung heap of poverty.
Raised upwards, heavenward
by the wearer of the seamless robe
of security, of certainty, of love’s immensity.
The seamless garment,
seeking those suffering servants,
calling the authentic holiness of every person, of all life,
praise to Christ the author, the scriber of healing and restoration.
