St. Vincent de Paul

Feast date: Sep 27

On Sept. 27, the Catholic Church remembers Saint Vincent de Paul, the French, 17th century priest known as the patron of Catholic charities for his apostolic work among the poor and marginalized.

During a September 2010 Angelus address, Pope Benedict XVI noted that St. Vincent “keenly perceived the strong contrast between the richest and the poorest of people,” and was “encouraged by the love of Christ” to “organize permanent forms of service” to provide for those in need.

The exact year of Vincent’s birth is not definitively known, but it has been placed between 1576 and 1581. Born to a poor family in the southwest of France, he showed his intellectual gifts from a young age, studying theology from around age 15. He received ordination as a priest in the year 1600, and worked as a tutor to students in Toulouse.

During a sea voyage in 1605, Vincent was seized by Turkish pirates and sold into slavery. His ordeal of captivity lasted until 1607, during which time the priest converted his owner to the Christian faith and escaped with him from Tunisia. Afterward, he spent time studying in Rome, and – in a striking reversal of fortune – served as an educator and spiritual guide to members of an upper-class French family.

Although Vincent had initially begun his priesthood with the intention of securing a life of leisure for himself, he underwent a change of heart after hearing the confession of a dying peasant. Moved with compassion for the poor, he began undertaking missions and founding institutions to help them both materially and spiritually. The one-time slave also ministered to convicts forced to serve in squalid conditions as rowers aboard galley ships.

Vincent established the Congregation of Priests of the Mission in 1625, as part of an effort to evangelize rural populations and foster vocations to remedy a priest shortage. Not long after this, he worked with the future Saint Louise de Marillac to organize the Daughters of Charity, the first congregation of women religious whose consecrated life involved an extensive apostolate among the poor, the sick, and prisoners.

Under Louise’s direction, the order collected donations which Vincent distributed widely among the needy. These contributions went toward homes for abandoned children, a hospice for the elderly, and an immense complex where 40,000 poor people were given lodging and work. Vincent was involved in various ways with all of these works, as well as with efforts to help refugees and to free those sold into slavery in foreign lands.

Though admired for these accomplishments during his lifetime, the priest maintained great personal humility, using his reputation and connections to help the poor and strengthen the Church. Doctrinally, Vincent was a strong opponent of Jansenism, a theological heresy that denied the universality of God’s love and discouraged reception of the Eucharist. He was also involved in the reform of several religious orders within France.

St. Vincent de Paul died on Sept. 27, 1660, only months after the death of St. Louise de Marillac in March of the same year. Pope Clement XII canonized him in 1737. In 1835, the French scholar Blessed Frederic Ozanam took him as the inspiration and namesake for the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, a lay Catholic organization working for the relief of the poor.

Here is an other outrageous article by CNA. What can be compared the CNA staff to? Perhaps the SS concentration camp guards who “just followed orders”? Doubt it not! Here is the nature of the outrage from CNA which misguides the naïve faithful into the false religion of the counter-church pretending to be the Roman Catholic Church.

The feast day of St. Vincent de Paul is July 19, and not to-day September 27. This switching of dates is made for filling the legitimate feast date of Sts. Cosmas & Damian, martyrs, which feast was displaced onto yesterday (Sept. 26). St. Vincent de Paul is replacing the void made by a previous displacement. Here is the nature of the scandal from the counter-chuch: On September 26 is the legitimate feast of Sts. Isaac Jogues, John de Brebeuf and companions, martyrs, in total eight Jesuit priests who were preaching the gospel to Huron and Iroquois Indians of the USA & Canada. This feast of those Jesuit martyrs is incompatible with the apostate spirit of Vatican II that “all religion are equal” all the more than during the Conferences of Assisi, Antipope “Saint” John-Paul II co-adored the pagan gods of the Amerindians when a emplume Indian chief smoked a calumet. The feast of eight martyr Jesuit priests who died for preaching the Gospel had to be hidden.
September 26 is also the feast of Sts. Cyprian and Justinia, virgin, martyrs, a feast heading against sorcery, which sorcery is the basis of the occult power from which Freemasonry…

… September 26 is also the feast of Sts. Cyprian and Justinia, virgin, martyrs, a feast in strong opposition against sorcery, which sorcery, lets never forget, is the basis of the occult power from which Freemasonry derives its murderous strength and conjuration against the pope. The Freemasons have installed an uninterrupted dynasty of six antipopes, through sorcery, so that feast of yesterday had to go away and had to be masked. The feast of the Christian virgin and her converted warlock had to be hidden. This is the occult reason for the displacement of the feast of Sts. Cosmas & Damian from to-day to yesterday, and why St. Vincent de Paul’s feast was displaced from two months ago to to-day in order to cover for the void left.
The CNA staff, under the pretense of ‘just following order’, which is what they will each individually say to the Judge when the devil will lay the accusation of sabotage from within the Calendar of Saints will be punished. The CNA staff members who think getting away with this crime of disinformation because most people are easy to fool, and most members of the clergy are too busy for those details will be confounded. Simply put, if the traitors do not get punished for their treason, it will be the scandal of an injustice which God, the just Judge will not permit.

        END.

      ADDITIONAL COMMENT.
This time it won’t be a simple comment on the to-day’s Saint of the Day, but a more overall view of the whole of my ungrateful personal mission at redressing the regular errors committed by CNA. CNA is obviously under the guidances of the counter-church, and either its staff ignores its misdeeds or cynically exploites the ignorance of the good people, which latest is obviously the most condemnable. I wish to clarify the sensitivity of giving exact information concerning the saints, as well as its importance at keeping the precision of its dates by preserving the integrity of the legitimate Calendar of Saints, such as the both yesterday’s and to-day’s case, when the dates are misused for the occult purpose of hiding some feasts which are damaging to the malevolent enterprises of the devil while been detrimental to the good of the Church.
I’ll start by telling what is the feast of a saint? It is the commemoration of a particular saint whose mission was to combat a particular vice. For example St. Vincent de Paul was against avarice, while Sts. Cyprian & Justinia were victorious against sorcery. Sts. Isaac Jogue, John de Brebeuf and Jesuit priests companions preached the Gospel to the pagans at the price of their life. That is all obvious that the Calendar of the Saints must be scrupulously kept intact, but then comes the answer to a most general question, which is why does only the Catholics keep the feast of saints (either the Church of Rome or…

        - – - continuation of the ADDITIONAL COMMENT – - -

… general question, which is why does only the Catholics keep the feast of saints (either the Church of Rome or the Eastern Church)? My answer is that a saint is seen as a demonstrated near perfect imitation of Our Lord Jesus Christ’s redemptive acts and life. Simply put, a saint is recognized by the Church as been a minor co-redemptor. The usage of the word ‘co-redemptor’ is not accepted by some Protestant heretics on the ground that “all we do for Christ is a dirty rag”: A shocking (Jansenist) statement, which I hear once from a Protestant Pastor!
The Catholic Church teaches that all saints have been declared either venerable, blessed or saints according to their works as co-redemptor. All “saints” while having been subjects to some imperfections have nevertheless participated in the Redemption by willingly carrying the cross God gave them. This goes without saying that from among the thousands of virgins, virgin martyrs, bishops, bishop martyrs, confessors, martyrs of the Roman Catholic Church until the mid-20th Century, all various situations have been covered by at least one patron saint. This means that since 1958, when the legitimate Vicar of Christs were no longer allowed to exercise their Petrine functions and that new saints could no longer be added to the list, it remained of little consequence, since the Church has had already plenty of saints dating from the Antiquity up to Saint Maria Goretti…

      • Daughter of the Church

        - – - end of the ADDITIONAL COMMENT – - -

… already plenty of saints dating from the Antiquity up to Saint Maria Goretti and about thirteen subsequent saints who were canonized by Pope Pius XII, the last publicly known pope.
Our Lord Jesus Christ made the divine promise to Peter-Simon (of Jona) that His Church will prevail. It is reasonable to accept the idea that there are enough saints to interceded for all particular situations during the intermediate eclipse of the Church caused by the antipopes. There is no need to add “news saints”, and it certainly is a sacrilege to shuffle the Calendar of Saints like CNA does.
