We must wash ourselves in the blood of Christ, to wash away our sins.

How do we pray.

This is the question on everyone’s lips who have not prayed for a long time.
We acknowledge God’s perfect holiness but at the same time we address him as our own father which he is and which he wants us to.
This is because we are made in his image. We are made in his likeness.
Why are both given (in the first book of the Bible, Genesis)?
The answer is simple.
Because we look like him – “in his image”
And because we ARE like him, except in sin. – “and likeness.”
Think about that for a moment, and acknowledge it.
This should make it easier to pray, just speaking to God in your own words, about your needs. You obviously have needs otherwise you wouldn’t bother. But remember, he responds because he loves you, out of that love, and this should stir a love in you for him in response.
Also learn the “Our Father” prayer which encompasses everything, which was given to us by Christ and handed down to us in the Gospels, written by those who accompanied him on his earthly mission for roughly three years.
It is the heart that God is interested in, so speak to him from the heart.  When this is not possible just share with him your concerns and your thoughts and he will hear you.
 Confess your sins to him and say, yes actually say,  you are sorry, and mean it, and he will hear, and forgive you, and you will feel that forgiveness instantly and you will heal. Do this often even when you think of past sins, and you will heal and grow.
Pray daily, at a time that is convenient to you. It only takes a few moments of your time and it is well worth it 
Love God, for he is pure goodness, and we are only separated from him by own sins and the barrier is insurmountable without an effort on our part 
Be faithful to God as he is faithful to you even in your sinful state he is watching out for you so that you are not harmed more than you deserve. This is the justice of God and his Mercy is that you are given repeated opportunities to change, so do not lose heart. His Mercy however does not include accepting sin but leading the sinner to repentance. However ” you can lead a horse to water…. “
He knows your weaknesses as well as your needs. He knows your likes and your dislikes. He knows your abilities and your disabilities.
He knows these as a father, nothing else. He can forgive sin, but he can never accept sin.
And sin is such a powerful force.
The bonds of it required his own sacrifice on the cross ie the Second person of the holy  Trinity, God the Son, as man, whose flesh he assumed for our redemption from it.
Do not make that of no avail in your case. 
Wash yourself in the blood of Christ to wash away your sins. Take the salvation offered to you.
Say “I do “, ” I do repent of my sins.”
The sin of adultery mentioned in the 10 commandments refers to all forms of adultery not just cheating on your spouse. We forget this. And it includes gluttony, sloth and all forms of sexual degradation, the sin which causes most sinners to go to hell and was the first sin committed.
The global evil cabal have already been “overcome”  by Christ, ( his words) so place yourself under his protection and have no fear
