Where Can We Find Peace During the First 3.5 Years of the Tribulation?

As the world spirals into what the Bible describes as the first half of the 7-year Tribulation, many hearts will be filled with fear, uncertainty, and confusion. Global unrest, deception, and the rise of the Antichrist will create a false sense of peace (Daniel 9:27), but beneath the surface, chaos brews.

So where can we find real peace in such a time?

The answer doesn’t lie in governments, global leaders, or even religious institutions. True peace will only be found in Jesus Christ. Let’s explore how and where believers can find this peace during the beginning years of the Tribulation.

Peace in Jesus Christ – Not the World

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth… Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
— John 14:27 (KJV)

While the Antichrist rises with promises of global peace and unity, it will be a deception. Many will be fooled. But Christ offers something different: supernatural peace, untouchable by world events. It is a peace that rests in knowing we are His, even in the storm.

Peace Through God’s Promises

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
— Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)

God’s Word doesn’t change, and neither do His promises. In the midst of fear, famine, and falsehood, those who meditate on Scripture will be anchored. Peace is found in staying focused on Him, not the fear-filled headlines.

Peace in Knowing God is Still in Control

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear…”
— Psalm 46:1–2 (KJV)

God is not surprised by any of this. Every judgment, every shaking, every world event—He has already foreseen and foretold it. When we remember this, we find rest. Nothing can shake the foundation of those who stand on His truth.

Peace Through the Power of the Holy Spirit

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing… through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
— Romans 15:13 (KJV)

The Holy Spirit will continue to work mightily in the hearts of those who believe. He comforts, convicts, guides, and empowers. In the loneliest and darkest moments, the Spirit will provide inner strength and supernatural peace.

Peace in Fellowship with Other Believers

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together… but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
— Hebrews 10:25 (KJV)

Even in a time of persecution or isolation, God will lead believers to one another. Whether underground, online, or in hidden home groups, the Body of Christ will endure. There is power in shared faith, worship, and encouragement.

Peace Through Understanding What’s Coming

“See that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
— Matthew 24:6 (KJV)

Jesus warned us ahead of time so we wouldn’t panic. Understanding prophecy doesn’t just inform—it prepares us. Knowing that God’s plan is unfolding gives us confidence to endure.

Final Thought:

We must not look to the world for comfort during these trying times. The Antichrist will offer empty peace. Religion will offer rituals. But only Jesus offers rest for the soul.

Even in tribulation, even when the world is unraveling, you can have peace. Not the world’s peace—but God’s.

Stand firm. Seek Him daily. Stay in the Word. And let His peace guard your heart.
