Government's new spy blimp seen hovering over New Jersey

THE U.S. MILITARY RECENTLY ADDED A MASSIVE SURVEILLANCE BLIMP TO ITS WAR ON TERROR ARSENAL, AND SENT IT INTO THE SKIES OF NEW JERSEY, OVER OVER PATRIOTS PARK.

Apparently the first of many 80-foot blimps, the “football-field-size airship with surveillance gear designed to do the work of a dozen drones” was recorded in the skies over New Jersey.

Aviation Week confirms that “Northrop Grumman’s Long Endurance Multi-Intelligence Vehicle (LEMV) made its delayed first flight” on August 7; adding that “the 300ft-plus-long hybrid airship flew manned for more than 90min from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey.”

YouTube user jmeriney, who filmed the spy blimp, says he saw it fly over Patriots Park.

The Army Space and Missile Defence Command/Army Forces Strategic Command statement told Wired: “The first flight primary objective was to perform a safe launch and recovery with a secondary objective to verify the flight control system operation. Additional first flight objectives included airworthiness testing and demonstration, and system level performance verification. All objectives were met during the first flight.”
