Message From the Anunnaki Published in a UFO Magazine in 1958

“We are already here, among you. Some of us have always been here, with you, yet apart from, watching, and occasionally guiding you whenever the opportunity arose.”
Thus begins an article published in the November-December 1958 issue of Flying Saucer Review Magazine, reports In5D. The article is said to be a message from the Anunnaki.
When someone mentions the Anunnaki, most people immediately think of Zecharia Sitchin’s work and the information he obtained when translating Sumerian tablets.
But Sitchin published his first book—The 12th Planet—in 1976. Eighteen years earlier, FSR Magazine had already outlined some of Sitchin’s ideas and as it turns out, the message from the Anunnaki was even older.
When asked about the article, Brinsley Le Poer Trench, editor of Flying Saucer Review said that it had originally appeared in a 1947 issue of Fantastic Stories, published under the pseudonym ‘Alexander Blade’. It went to print only a few months after the infamous Roswell incident.
The article reads like a memo from the most controversial ‘deities’ to humankind. Showing proper manners, they introduce themselves:
“We have been confused with the gods of many world-religions, although we are not gods, but your fellow creatures, as you will learn directly before many more years have passed. You will find records of our presence in the mysterious symbols of ancient Egypt, where we made ourselves known in order to accomplish certain ends.”
They make mentions of their emblem:
“Our principal symbol appears in the religious art of your present civilization and occupies a position of importance upon the great seal of your country (The United States of America). It has been preserved in certain secret societies founded originally to keep alive the knowledge of our existence and our intentions toward mankind.”
In the article, the Anunnaki profess their involvement with the advancement of ancient civilizations, especially ancient Egypt:
“We have left you certain landmarks, placed carefully in different parts of the globe, but most prominently in Egypt where we established our headquarters upon the occasion of our last overt, or, as you would say, public appearance. At that time the foundation of your present civilization were ‘laid in the earth’ and the most ancient of your known landmarks established by means that would appear as miraculous to you now as they did to the pre-Egyptians, so many thousands of years ago.”
As you can see, the Anunnaki claim direct responsibility for many of the ancient megalithic structures that have confounded our men of science. The technologically advanced children of Anu must have seemed like gods to the ancient Egyptians. Today, we’re far behind them and some could argue that they still maintain their godlike grip on humanity.
Our forefathers regarded them as friends. The article says that we will too:
“Your ancestors knew us in those days as preceptors and as friends. Now, through your own efforts , you have almost reached, in your majority, a new step on the long ladder of your liberation.”
But we were never alone:
“You have been constantly aided by our watchful ‘inspiration’, and hindered only by the difficulties natural to your processes of physical and moral development…”
“Some of you have seen our ‘advanced guard’ already. You have met us often in the streets of your cities, and you have not noticed us.”
Now that we’re on the verge of becoming powerful enough to destroy ourselves, they warn us not to let it go to our heads:
“You have lately achieved the means of destroying yourselves. Do not be hasty in your self-congratulation. Yours is not the first civilization to have achieved—and used—such means. Yours will not be the first civilization to be offered the means of preventing that destruction and proceeding, in the full glory of its accumulated knowledge, to establish an era of enlightenment upon the earth.”
As it turns out, humanity might receive help in abandoning its self-destructive path. Would we have made it on our own?
The authors of this letter give credit to those who have witnessed the UFO phenomenon:
[…] you are amazed, and those of you who open your mouths and tell of what you have seen are accounted dupes and fools. Actually you are prophets, seers in the true sense of the word.”
“One of you says ‘I saw a torpedo-shaped object.’ Others report ‘disc-like objects’, some of you say ‘spherical objects’ or ‘platter-like objects’. You are all reporting correctly and accurately what you saw, and in most cases you are describing the same sort of vehicle.”
“We pass over hilltops in horizontal flight. You see and report a torpedo-shaped object. We pass over, in formation, flying vertically ‘edge-on’…Or we go over at night, jet-slits glowing, and you see an orange disc.”
They make it clear that we can only see them because it is their intention to be seen:
“In any event you see us, and in any event we do not care. If we chose to remain visible, we could do so, easily, and, in fact, we have done so almost without exception for hundreds of years. But you must become accustomed to our shapes in your skies, for one day they will be familiar, friendly, and reassuring sights.”
In the end, they advise us not to make the same mistake our ancestors did:
“This time, it is to be hoped that the memory of them, passed on to your children and their children, will be clear and precise. That you will not cause them to forget, as your ancestors forgot, the meaning of the diagrams and the instructions we will leave with you.
If you do fail, as other civilizations have failed, we will see your descendants wearing wiring-diagrams for simple machines as amulets, expecting the diagrams to do what their forefathers were taught the completed article would accomplish.
Then their children, forgetting even that much—or little—would preserve the amulet as a general protective device—or as an intellectual curiosity—or perhaps as a religious symbol. Such is the cycle of forgetfulness.”
There is much speculation regarding the nature and origin of religious symbols routinely mentioned in connection with the UFO and ancient alien phenomenon. The last paragraph in the article gives credence to some of these theories, bluntly accusing our ancestors of losing the essence of the Anunnaki’s teachings over time.
For example, the text claims that the Eye of Horus, the symbol which inspired the ‘all-seeing eye of Providence’ was in fact a schematic for one of their flying machines, simplified and modified over the course of history.
But let’s not forget what the ancient Sumerian clay tablets say about the Anunnaki. They came to our planet in search of gold and genetically engineered the human race to use as slaves in their mining operations.
Would their return be a good thing?
There’s no evidence supporting the authenticity of this message. ‘Alexander Blade’ could have been anyone. But if he was one of the Anunnaki, can we afford to ignore their missive?

It was probably written by a freemason. A lexander begins with A, they use this letter as a symbol for the pyramid and blade makes reference to their symbol the two crossed blades.
Without the spiritual hierarchy, humanity could do nothing. It permeates all. And humanity is part of it. The ignorance that states one should ignore/avoid all instances of spiritual activity is…unbalanced materialism that will hold humanity backward.
Most read spiritual books with a materialistic-thinking mind that cannot distinguish soul and spirit; believe they come about via a material course of events. (The opposite is true.) And with this same materialistic-thinning mind they move toward forming “spiritual concepts” with their mere sympathies and antipathies, which are not sufficient for proper understanding. Nutshell: they peruse spiritual books the same way the approach any ole book…unaware of the higher faculties which are developed and employed to present the same. Instead of working towards the same, they yank it all down to their level, then pass their sentiments off as opinion…not even understanding the difference. HOWEVER, mention something on the physical plane that they desire…cars, boats, drug, sex, et al…and they can go on and on. So, they have the ability to move upward in their thinking, but they simply choose not to. It’s a war against the spirit. They’re waiting to die and have the inner work- that they are supposed to be doing NOW -done for them.
