Busted! Brutal Mexican Drug Cartel Protected by U.S. Government

The Mexican Sinaloa drug trafficking cartel has become the most powerful criminal enterprise in the Western Hemisphere. And apparently that wouldn’t have been possible without the assistance and cooperation of the United States government.

According to a 2014 investigative report that appeared in the Mexican newspaper El Universal, sometime during the George W. Bush administration the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Department of Homeland Security and Department of Justice cut a deal with the ruthless Sinaloans. In return for inside information about competing drug syndicates, the Sinaloa Cartel was allowed to import cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine into the United States with virtual impunity.

As part of the deal, Sinaloa couriers were given a free hand to transport drugs, guns and money in and out of the U.S. Except for an occasional sacrificial lamb the cartel’s leaders were to be protected from arrest and prosecution, while rival drug lords would be rounded up or assassinated en masse. While not directly involved in the negotiations, the Mexican government fully supported this arrangement (as if it had a choice).

The information revealed in El Universal was based on court documents plus more than 100 interviews with government insiders, security contractors, jailed drug traffickers and law enforcement officials on both sides of the border. To no one’s surprise this story has been largely ignored by the U.S. mainstream media, which has been far too busy covering Deflategate, Donald Trump and the Kardashians to worry about such trivial matters.   

The secret agreement that gave the Sinaloa Cartel drug trade hegemony has remained in effect during the Obama Administration, and it appears the “Fast and Furious” scandal may have been an outgrowth of this shady arrangement. So far tens of thousands of people, including huge numbers of innocent civilians, have died in the Mexican drug trafficking wars, many at the hands of the sadistic, bloodthirsty Sinaloans.

Quid Pro Quo?

Just as Mafia Dons used to meet to divide up territories, the Sinaloans and the Americans may have cut a deal designed to benefit both sides. In return for control of the lucrative U.S. domestic market, the Sinaloans may have promised to stay out of Asia and other areas where opium and heroin from Afghanistan are being peddled. The latter is believed to be under the control of certain elements within the U.S government, in particular the CIA.

Billions of dollars in tax-free drug money are used to prop up stock markets, the international banking system and the covert operations of western intelligence agencies, and the “War on Drugs” is nothing but a sham designed to shield this truth from the public.
