The supposed ball earth spins at around 1000mph at the equator yet there is no affect of centrifugal force. Of course nearer to the top and bottom of earth it hardly spins at any speed. They say that the atmosphere moves with the spinning earth and stays to the earth due to the magic force of gravity. Yet, butterflies have no problem overcoming this amazing force, yet somehow it holds all the vast oceans from dripping off the sides while spinning.

Aeroplanes rely on gyroscopes to keep a level flight which is what they do. Lasers can only go in a straight line of sight and can not curve around a ball earth. An aeroplane at a level flight on a round earth would fly out in to space. No pilot or program causes a plane to follow any curvature.
The Kansas plains in USA is perfectly flat with only a couple of meters variation over 100 miles. Same goes for other places like the Bolivian salt flats. Water is flat. The earth is flat ! Go look at the official USA flat earth mariner maps from 100 or more years ago. There are hundreds of scientific evidences that debunk a 1000mph spinning earth racing around the universe at a fantastic speed whilst the northern fixed star Polaris never moves and while all the other stars do.

Flat-earthers cannot explain three things: 1) How it is possible for half of the planet to be in daytime, while the other half is in night (if the earth was flat, the sun should always be visible from any point on earth – there would never be nighttime anywhere), 2) lunar eclipses (these always occur when the (spherical) earth comes between the moon and the sun, putting the moon in the earth’s shadow), and 3) why people in the southern hemiSPHERE see a different set of constellations from people in the northern hemiSPHERE (all constellations should always be visible from anywhere on a flat earth).

It is very simple to see on any coastline folks. Look at a map. Pick a spot like a point and follow the coastline. A decent pair of binoculars will show you the shoreline 10 miles away. A zoom camera of 60-83k even better. Pick a calm day when there isn’t so much debris in the air. At 10 miles, that distant shoreline is supposed to be over 66 feet on the other side of the curve yet you will see it, proving that the Earth is not a ball of 24,901 miles in diameter.
Shoreline to shoreline. Lake or Ocean. There is no excuse for you to still be fooled when this experiment is so easy to do.

The Bible most certainly isn’t a flat-earth book! Even though many “figures of speech” are found in it, the Bible clearly teaches that the the earth is a sphere. Starting with the second verse of the very first book of the Bible, Genesis, it can be clearly seen that the earth is not flat, for Genesis 1:2 declares that the earth was a “void” when God created it. Does that sound like a flat earth to you?!? For something to be void it must be in a shape that has a volume — definitely not a form that is flat!
It’s important to know that the Hebrew word for “circle” (חוג—”chuwg”) can also mean “round” or “sphere,” since the ancient Hebrews didn’t have a specific word for a round sphere — only “chuwg.” There are many references in scripture of the earth being a circle.
With that in mind, consider that the prophet Isaiah stated that the Lord “sits above the circle of the earth” (Is 40:22). Since God is omnipresent, if the earth were disc-shaped (flat), then from nearly every perspective it wouldn’t appear to be to be a circle at all — it’d look like a straight line (i.e., when viewed from a perpendicular perspective) or as an oval (elliptical).

To determine the universe that God made one needs to look up ALL the scriptures that relate to the creation story, not just some. For example: In Genesis, God only made the earth, sun, moon, and stars. He didn’t make any planets. He made the earth stationary, and Unmovable. Therefore it cannot move, rotate, spin, or travel around the sun. He fixed the earth on pillars and foundations. If the earth was a sphere hanging in space we would see those pillars and foundations. … so there really isn’t any practical difference between the two articles but at least my information is supported by such reputable institutions as Nature and the American Physical Society. Whereas yours is supported by ZME Science which was founded in 07′ but is, as yet, unable to boast any scholastic support.
The point is that in order to have achieved negative values it stands to reason that the absolute temperature must have transitioned through zero unless you’d like to argue for magic or miracles.

are these people for real?wow what morons..you can fly a jet 500 ft over Mt Whitney(14500 ft)..set your jet to fly exactly level flight–as you keep flying the jet will gain altitude realitive to the curve of the earth–simple math will figure how many miles you need to fly to gain an altitude of say 40,000 ft–the whole time while keeping the jet straight away–no nose up or down–idiots,fools
and if you want to stay at 40,000 ft set the auto pilot for 40 thou and it will make subtle changes to nose down to keep at 40000–at the end of flight you can get a puter print out showing exactly what the auto pilot did to stay 40000 ft–it will be 90% nose down–tiny movement but still nose down to follow the curve of the earth until you change or turn off the settings to land
ok mr pilot. If you are coming down for a landing on a n/s runway and you lock on and descend, the earth is moving e/w at 1500 fps which means that every 3.5 seconds the earth is ONE MILE to the east. How do you land the plane??? It would be like trying to land sideways on a moving treadmill. And if you say that the plane is moving e/w with the earth at 1500fps, then how do you circle the airport??? Every time you go in a new direction you would have to account for that. IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!
Wow good point Jango. This is also exactly why people are strapped to their seats on a plane.. if passengers dare even make the slightest jump upward while in transit and their feet were to leave the floor of the cabin at any time mid-flight, they would instantly crash through the back of the plane at 500 mph taking the plane and all other passengers back down to earth..
Oh..but back down to earth is where flat earthers really ought to be.. still, they seem to prefer being strapped in as with jackets..

After reading the entire thread of the comments on this article, one thing
stands out as being abundantly clear, neither side is overly pursuasive in their
arguments. It is “shocking” to say the least on how under educated both sides
are on the issue of a flat earth! The flat earther’s are completely uninformed,
and the ball earth defenders do a poor job defending the facts. The bottom
line here being, UNEDUCATION is the new “norm” in this society. With the
exception of a few posters, the intelligence level is pretty low for the times.
I could tear the flat earthers up on this thread, but I will leave them to their
stupdity, as there truly is no hope for them, nor do I see any reason to change
that. Time and time again they have demonstrated that there is no proof
possible for them, so they may live on their flat earth, and be happy about
doing so. For the rest of you, kick it up a notch, albeit for no real gain on
your part, other than to gain a better argument for later use.
On the religious aspects in the thread, and the detractors thereof, you too
can improve your conceptions of what is truly meant in religious writings.
So far we have nobody in the thread that understands the universe very well.

Ah, Rain come on, don’t be so hostile over my comments. Not only have I read and
followed the flat earth strings on here for as long as they have been appearing,
I have also become an integral part of the loop, by presenting some of the most
damning comments to the flat brainers.
You know, Rain, as I do that there is no way to win in this game. I just became
wise and decided not to play the game any longer as it truly is a “no win” situation.
Why try to convince some basement dwelling dweebs of anything? Why try to
shed light on misbegotten fools who misinterpret the bible, and take it all so
literally? There is nothing to be gained here. Let the fools play their role in the
game, and show their stupidity. It’s all so fun to read, until you stop and think
of the fact that the generation in question will someday come into real power
and tear down all that has been gained, because of their lack of life experience,
and the ability to think critically.. Then it becomes a more serious matter indeed.
