The Oroville Dam Located at Canyon Dr & Oroville Dam Rd, Oroville, CA 95966. Oroville Dam is an earthfill embankment dam on the Feather River east of the city of Oroville, California, in the Sierra Nevada foothills east of the Sacramento Valley. At 770 feet (235 m) high, which is the tallest dam in the U.S. and serves mainly for water supply, hydroelectricity generation and flood control. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, commonly known as FERC, licenses hydroelectric facilities such as the Edward Hyatt Power Plant at Oroville Dam.

Ever since the Oroville Dam crisis that occured on Febuary 7, 2017 people have been really nervous about the condition of the dam and rightfully so. Everyone has jumped on board to try help alleviate the fears and concerns of those who live below the dam, but at this point complete removal of concerns just goes with the saying, trust must be earned.
