Instead, it is rooted in ancient pagan worship. In Acts 7:43, Stephen, the first Christian martyr, rebuked the Israelites for carrying “the star of your god Remphan,” which was an idol they worshiped instead of the true God. This verse echoes Amos 5:26, where God condemned the Israelites for turning to false gods, including Chiun and Remphan.
Many symbols and practices have been adopted over time that do not align with the worship of the Most High. The enemy has always been crafty, inserting falsehood into the truth so that many would be led astray. The Most High never commanded the use of any star to represent Him. Instead, He gave us His Word, His commandments, and ultimately, His Son, Jesus Christ, as the only true way to salvation (John 14:6).
It is time for people to wake up and separate themselves from traditions that have no foundation in the truth. The Most High is not pleased with idolatry in any form, whether it is an image, a symbol, or even a practice that goes against His Word. We must be careful not to mix truth with error, for God is a jealous God (Exodus 20:3-5).
The focus of every believer should be on Jesus Christ, the only true light. It is through Him alone that we can be saved. No star, no symbol, no tradition can take His place. The Bible warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:17, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to put your faith in Jesus Christ alone. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Do not be deceived by signs, symbols, or traditions of men. Accept Christ today, repent of all falsehood, and seek the Most High with all your heart. Let no deception keep you from the truth that leads to eternal life.
