Quick & Easy Hot Chocolate

Every year I think once the holidays are over winter should be over, so I always get depressed around mid-January when I realize winter is just getting started. It’s cold and we all need a warm-up, don’t you think? This hot chocolate is so easy to make and I bet you already have everything on hand so you can go right to the kitchen a whip up a batch. All you do is heat up some milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla for a few minutes and then next thing you know you’re all cozy with a cup of hot chocolaty goodness.

It’s simple, but effective.

A super easy 4 ingredient hot chocolate. Takes only a few minutes to whip up a batch!

Recipe type: Drinks

Serves: 1-2

Ingredients

1 generous tablespoon granulated sugar
1 generous tablespoon cocoa powder
1 cup 2% milk
¼ teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Heat all the ingredients in a small pan over medium low heat. Whisk continuously until the sugar and cocoa powder have dissolved into the milk and it’s heated through, about 3-4 minutes.

Notes

To make it extra rich and decadent try mixing a ¼ cup of heavy cream with ¾ cup of milk.
