Today is National Pound Cake Day!!! I love simple cakes and you can’t get any simpler than a good ol’ fashioned pound cake. Pound cakes are wonderful on their own, but they’re also delicious paired with fresh fruit, a dollop of whipped cream or even a scoop of ice cream. A basic pound cake recipe is very forgiving and can be changed into so may different flavors and varieties.
