Cinnamon Swirl Bread Recipe

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

1 egg

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup sugar

3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Glaze-

1 cup powdered sugar

2-3 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a large bowl combine the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking soda and salt. In another bowl combine milk, egg, and oil. Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients just until moistened. 

In a small bowl combine cinnmon and 1/2 cup sugar. 

Grease the bottom and sides of a 9×5 inch loaf pan. Pour half of the butter into the pan. Sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar. Spread the remianing batter and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar. 

Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. 

Cool for 10 minutes and then remove to a wire rack to cool completely. 

In a medium bowl mix together powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. Drizzle over the bread and serve.
