Air Fryer Eggless Buttery Sugar Bun 气炸锅无蛋奶油起司包

Here I am trying to pamper myself with some homemade buttery rolls. Yeap, playing with my air fryer again ! haha…. This round I need to make really fluffy buns, so add in an additional of 1/8 tspn of yeast and the method is slightly different from the previous cinnabon. Please read on for more.

Please read carefully ya >ohehe… 

Ingredients :
255gm  bread flour
1-1/2 TB  milk powder
1 Tb sugar
1/2 tspn   salt
150ml  water

3 TB   water
1-1/8 tspn  yeast
1 tspn  sugar

30gm  cold butter, diced

** 9 pcs  cold butter cube (I used Fernleaf)
** cheddar cheese block
** some sugar for topping

Method :
(1)  combine ingredients (B) then rest for 5 minutes.
(2)  mix together ingredients (A) & (B) into a big bowl till soft dough is formed, then add in butter continue kneading till smooth. Set aside to rest for an hour or till double in size.
(3)  once its ready, place dough to working table and kneading till excess air has released.
(4)  next, divide into 9 portions about 55gm per portion, round them and rest for 5 minutes on working table.

(5)  now, slightly flatten dough and fill in cold butter cube then seal and arrange to air fryer basket lined with baking paper.

(6) after arranging dough to basket, straight away grate in cheddar cheese to cover the top then let to rest for 45 minutes or till double in size.

(7)  when ready, sprinkle sugar over the top and bake at preheated air fryer 195′C for 8 minutes with aluminium foil cover the top (pop a few holes on it). Then another 10 minutes at 160′C without aluminium foil.

Remarks :  The freshly baked buns are slightly soggy on the bottom due to melted butter fillings. If you’re not comfortable with it, just turn it around and bake for 5 minutes at 195′C.

And here you are ! nom… nom… Just wallop one tray the other day. So tasty good la and decided to make another batch today.

The buns are so soft and fluffy with extra addictive real butter smell on it. Absolutely yummy ! Hope you have fun too guys.
