The  success  of the Coup depended not upon the ability of the shooters to escape undetected but upon the certitude that the cabal behind the assassination could control the investigation and the story reported in the media. Most people have been given the idea that there was little the U.S Air Force could have done to stop the hijacked airliners from crashing (Dick Cheney gave a stand down order to U.S. air defense on 9/11) into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. However, intercepting the hijacked airliners would have been a simple, straight forward exercise for the U.S. Air Force. US air defense planners had spent tens of thousands of man years and hundreds of billions of dollars designing, developing and deploying the U.S. domestic air defenses #WarGames  #TerrorDrills.
