Disaster on Bus 13 Waiting to Happen.

Bus 13 at Del Paso Heights / Arden Way Station waits at 7:30am for its passengers. In theory this bus is supposed to get its passengers to work by 8 a.m. But, right now this bus is a disaster waiting to happen. For the last 3 days – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday it has been overloaded with passengers. The passengers are packed in like sardines and they reach the front of the windshield. If the bus were to crash, I estimate that 14 people would go through the big front window, while people in the back would fall all over other passengers and surely the passenger in the wheelchair would have gotten his neck broken by a falling passenger.
The bus driver claims that RT is doing an assessment for one week, before deciding to place another bus on this route. One week may be too late, this bus is a safety hazard. The driver is even having a hard time driving because the people that are packed in are hitting her elbow as she is driving. She keeps yelling for people to move back, so they can make room for other people boarding the bus.
It takes a disaster for people to wake up. Perhaps if a few people lose their lives on this RT bus, then perhaps RT will get off their lazy butts and place another bus on this route. This bus is definitely a lawsuit waiting to happen.
I take the lightrail and bus, because I believe in keeping it green and try to only drive my car on the weekends, but with a disaster like this on 4 wheels driving through the Natomas area, it makes me want to go back to driving my car to work.
It just goes to show you that RT does not give a damn about its passengers.
