It's Fall Y'all

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

You can tell I haven’t been in Georgia very long.  I’m showing my Texas roots.  I’ve been told that Georgians don’t use the word y’all.  I was surprised because I always thought that y’all was a southern term.  But I have adamantly been told otherwise. Wait, here I go again getting off track. The real purpose of this post is not to talk about Texas vs. Georgia terminology.  It is to remind you that “It’s Fall Y’all” and time to decorate our mantles (if you haven’t already).

I have to admit that I have already jumped the gun and decorated my mantles for Halloween.  But then it occurred to me that I needed something for AFTER Halloween.  Something to get me through Thanksgiving.  I have a few decorations from last year but haven’t come across them yet since the move.  I’m thinking that they are in with the Christmas stuff and I am not about to tackle those boxes yet.  Talk about getting side tracked!  I’d never come up for air.

To give my self some inspiration and get the creative juices flowing, I’ve compiled some pictures of my favorite mantels from across the web.  I thought I’d share them with you in case you are stuck with what to do.  Maybe they will give you some inspiration to create your own beautiful fall mantle.  Enjoy.

I really like the beeswax candles and the glittery pumpkins!
Traditional, but I think it is so pretty.
The addition of the pears to this mantle looks great!  I just love how they are so different from the usual fall materials.
The Texas Star.  I’ll always be a Texan!

I love the leaves made from the pages of books.  They are too cute.  I’ll take the shutter too!

The addition of the cabbage to this mantle is so great and a little unexpected.  I just love it.  Especially with the white pumpkin.

I love the use of the turquoise mixed in with the fall colors.

Again, I love the shutters and the window.  The wreath is nice too!

Gorgeous
My all time favorite! Of course it is Pottery Barn.

Happy Fall – Y’all!
