NTDTV: Taiwan Urges China to Share Virus Details

Taiwan’s president urged China to fulfill its international responsibilities today by publicizing correct information on the new virus.

President Tsai Ing-Wen called on mainland china to share “Correct” information on the coronavirus, and to work with Taiwan to prevent it from spreading.,

“This is also in the interests of
Chinese nationals. We also believe that political concerns should not be above the protection of its own people.”

Tsai also urged the world health
Organization to include Taiwan as a full member because she said Taiwan might become the frontline in this fight against the new virus.

“I want to urge the world health organization (who) once again, not to exclude Taiwan because of political concerns. Taiwan is at the frontline of the global fight against the outbreak. The who should let Taiwan be part of it.”

Inspections are carried out at Taiwan’s airports to prevent an outbreak.

Tsai said there is currently one confirmed case of the coronavirus among 26 people who have been inspected, and that person was currently under good care and the fever had gone.
