Announcing the Atmosphere quilt pattern and quilt-along!

You guys! I’m so thrilled to be releasing my Atmosphere quilt pattern on April 8! AND I’ll be running this pattern as a 6-week quilt-along beginning on April 22!

I’m also posting a few more details about the quilt below. YES, it works with my Perfect Flying Geese templates and Perfect HST templates, but NO, you don’t have to use those—you can also make this quilt using traditional methods. Instructions are included for both methods. For those who do want to use my Perfect Piecing templates and don’t already have them, I’ll be offering a special discount if you buy all three at the same time.

The pattern will also have instructions for two colorways: The Rainbow Colorway and the Minimalist Colorway (three colors plus background). The kits are currently available for pre-order and will ship on April 9 (so you’ll get yours in plenty of time for the start of the QA).

Finished size: 56″ x 68″
The pattern will give you two color options: The Rainbow Version and the Minimalist Version (three colors plus white for background). Yes, there will be kits for both colorways! Sewtopia will be carrying the kits – check back for a link to purchase.

Rainbow Version fabric requirements:
34 Fat-Quarters (or straight-cut 1/4 yards)
1/2 yard of White
1/2 yard for binding
4-1/4 yards for backing

Minimalist Version fabric requirements:
1-1/4 yards Kona Fog
1-1/8 yards Kona Ash
3-1/2 yards Kona White
1/2 yard Kona Mustard
1/2 yard for binding
4-1/4 yards for backing

April 22: Cutting
April 29: Make Flying Geese units
May 6: Make Half-Square Triangle units
May 13: Make Star Blocks and Diamond Blocks
May 20: Make Border Blocks and Ribbon Blocks
May 27: Assemble quilt top and quilt it!
