7 Subtle Ways to Hide Your Kitchen Appliances

Most of us use our precious counter space to store kitchen appliances. What we don’t realize is that this is where all the cluttering of other items begins. For example, if you have placed your coffee maker on the counter, you are most likely to start placing your mugs and coffee jars beside it as well.

Moreover, even if appliances on the front look good to you, you cannot place all of them together and use up all the space. Your kitchen will eventually appear messier.

Here are a few subtle yet creative ways to hide your appliances if you want to avoid a messy-looking kitchen.

1. Install a Mixer Lift

This first recommendation is for the modern homemakers who can’t resist creative innovations. You can use it to store your mixer or even other kitchen appliances like waffle maker or toaster oven.

You can easily pull up the stand mixer lift and use your mixer there and then. You wouldn’t even need to pick your mixer up and move it to a table before using it. This will also reduce the risk of dropping your expensive purchase.

With the lift, you can subtly hide away your mixer from the countertops.

2. Overhead Cabinets

You need some storage area for your counter-top appliances like a coffee maker, kettle, or blender. Such appliances are used very regularly so you cannot hide them somewhere it’s difficult to grab them from.

You can install overhead cabinets and dedicate them solely to such appliances. You can also use cabinets beside them to store crockery that you use with the appliances.

You can find ready to assemble cabinets to keep it minimalistic yet chic.

3. Open Shelves

Since you are looking for ways to hide your appliances subtly, we assume that open shelving will appeal to you. Placing your appliances on open shelves will not exactly hide them, but this way, your appliances can surely serve as décor.

Clear away kitchen appliances from your countertops and place them on shelves. You can do so with presentable tableware like champagne glasses and china cups. Make sure your blender is clean and free of any green stains from your smoothie as that can ruin the impact.

4. Shelving Unit

If the vibe of your kitchen permits you, go for a shelving unit to place it along an empty wall. You can buy it in a color or material that complements your hardware and flooring.

A shelving unit can easily house large appliances like a slow cooker or an air fryer. You can also use it to store other kitchen utensils like formal dinnerware sets.

5. Application Garage

You also have the option of working an application garage on top of your kitchen counter. You can do this by installing a cabinet that sits right on the counter. You can choose if your cabinet needs to have shelves or not according to the size of the appliance you’re planning to put in.

Store your coffee maker inside this open cabinet and pull it out whenever you need your daily caffeine fix. You can easily hide appliances in a cabinet garage like this, take it out for use, and hide it back again.

6. Kitchen Iland

You can maximize your appliance storage capacity by adding a kitchen island. They are easy to add so they don’t require as much planning. As long as there’s space in your kitchen, you can hire a contractor to install one.

With a kitchen island, you can easily store all your appliances and use them without moving them to a different place. You can also add your mixer lift to the kitchen island. Make it pop up to counter height any time you wish to use it. Moreover, it offers space to tuck in your steam oven.

7. Dishwasher Below the Sink

It is a common thing to have cabinets below the sink but you can also have a dishwasher instead. Dishwashers are useful but they are not always worth being on display. This is a space-saving solution to the common issue.

Now, you can not only hide away your blender or your coffee station, but also your dishwasher if you think it ruins the look of your kitchen.

Bonus Idea for Small Appliances

You may have heard about pop ups, pull outs, and roll outs. But do you know that these are not just for the spices and cutlery? You can easily use roll out shelves to store smaller appliances.

You can easily get rolling shelves from your local home store to add in your cabinets. Or, you can simply buy cabinets with built-ins.

You can also find pop out shelves that are easy to pull up from underneath the counter. They have your appliances sitting right on top, and you can conveniently use them at a height of your choice.

Conclusion

Use these ideas to clean and clear your kitchen counters of any appliances that don’t need to be sitting there. You may need to spend some cash, but the clutter-free kitchen will be worth it. It will be a sight to see, reflecting your organized personality.

I really like this system of organizing the kitchen space. I have a small coffee machine that sits on an open shelf and it looks very neat. By the way, I order great coffee here and I love that I can brew a cup of coffee at home that tastes the same as coffee in a coffee shop. The capsules and pod coffee machine don’t take up much space.

Excellent information! I am just now thinking about the organization of the kitchen space and it was useful for me to get acquainted with this. By the way, I have already chosen one of the best Granite countertops https://www.graniteausommet.com/ for the kitchen set. Because the use of granite in kitchen interior design is primarily due to the natural beauty and durability of this material.
