% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Sleeping is good as it allows one to relax and freshen up. However, one can be affected in one way or another when one sleeps in dirty sheets. Additionally, sleeping on dirty or nasty-smelling sheets can affect the quality of one’s sleep. Therefore, changing your sheets from time to time should be your number one priority, especially if you have a young kid sleeping in your bed. The aspect is critical as it allows someone to relax and get the quality of sleep that provides the necessary energy for daily work.

Why It’s Important to Change Your Bed Sheets

Even if you are fond of bathing before getting to bed, after a short period, there comes a time when you will require to change your sheets as they will have gathered some dirt that will require some cleaning. In other words, you need to keep changing your sheets from time to time to ensure that you sleep in a clean bed free from dust that can cause you to develop flu or asthma-related symptoms. In addition, if you live in a windy and dusty area, you need to change your sheets from time to time as dust may find its way to your bedroom, especially after opening windows and doors to get some fresh air. Therefore, changing bed sheets should be periodical as this is very healthy.

How often do you need to Change them?

Some people prefer changing them after a week or three days. However, this largely depends on the rate at which they get dirty. But, even if you do not see dirt on your sheets, you need to make it a habit and at least change your sheet after a period of 6 or 7 days. In other words, changing your sheets weekly can be a good thing. However, if you spoil your sheets accidentally, you need to change them immediately as you cannot risk spending an entire night in a dirty or spoiled bed. Therefore, it is not a must to wait a week to change your sheet, especially if they have some visible patches of dirt or stains. But, being consistent in changing your bed sheets at least once a week can be a good thing, and you may avoid diseases such as flu, especially if you live in a dusty environment.

Washing your Bed Sheets

After changing your sheets, you need to wash them immediately with friendly and less corrosive detergents. In other words, you need to use detergents that will help maintain the elegance of your sheets and enhance more comfort, especially if you have a newborn baby. Always focus on maintaining the tidiness of your bed, as this is also critical for your health.

Bottom Line

Your bed should be the most comfortable place in your room. Always ensure that you have done everything needed to ensure that you sleep in a safe and clean environment. Therefore, changing your bed sheets should often be done with experts suggesting at least once weekly.
