The n.american plate now has room to move a little over by the west coast of America. So what you see are the effects of the land being stretched on the west coast. Also possible to start seeing the san andreas fault and the cascade fault to start having problems.like the 1989 quake in san fransico.If the offshore cascade fault goes you should expect tsunamis towards the west coast with very little warning. Especially around oregon and washington.

The Island of La Palma in the Canary Islands is the home of one of the earths most dangerous, yet underestimated volcanos on earth. Cumbre Vieja, a volcano on the west coast of La Palma, is currently erupting, spewing ash and steam high into the atmosphere and has been since March 13, 2011.

Island residents are currently being evacuated from the sparsly populated western side of the island as a precaution, and relocated to the eastern side of the Island. Further, all tourist flights to the island have been cancelled. Only exodus flights are being allowed onto the island at present!

The volcano is seperated by an ancient fault line which runs roughly north and south, bisecting the volcano down the middle. The danger involved with this fault line is the western portion of the volcano, which is perched atop the fault, may seperate and slide and collapse into the Atlantic Ocean, thus causing a Tsunami that some scientists has estimated may reach heights of 250 meters or 800 feet!

Even those Geologists such as Professor Jan Nieuwenhuis of Delft University of Technology, who claim the collapse and resulting Tsunami would be not as bad as the extreme claim that a resulting Tsunami would be at minimum thirty meters or 90 feet! Professor Nieuwenhuis recanted his earlier findings of 2002 wherein he downplayed the danger of Cumbre Vieja at the EU sponcered Volcanic and Earthquake Study Conference in Milan, Italy in 2006. He and Professor Pass of Northwestern University in the US, confirmed the exsistence of the faultline in late 2005.

Should this volcanic mountain collapse, the resulting Tsunami of a westward collapse of Cumbre Vieja would travel across the Atlantic Ocean at airliner speed and impact the entire Atlantic Seaboard of the United States and completely wipe out the coastline, possibly as far as twenty five miles inland!

One person claims that “HE” can find no corraborating information on this event, unless he is currently on La Palma, how could he or anyone else for that matter?
