A follow-up post from today explains a little bit more about the large opening. “An engineer from Riverton, WY came out to shed a little light on this giant crack in the earth. Apparently, a wet spring lubricated across a cap rock. Then, a small spring on either side caused the bottom to slide out. He estimated 15 to 20 million yards of movement. By range finder, an estimate is 750 yards long and about 50 yards wide.”

My question would be, [I believe you looked back for 30 days for recorded tremor activity], just how long has this been there on the top, [does any one actually know for sure], the other part would be has it been considered that the top event may have happened long after the underground event, or in several events, top and bottom, it could have a very slow process, or a fast event underground, [even if it was a slow underground event the tremors from the in-fall on top it seems should have registered, that place is well covered but you may have to go back a long time, even years to see, but the in-fall event if it happened all at one time should have been recorded, I've seen things like this before but have no idea if they happened fast, or slow, yours is still crisp from what I could see on the video and looks very new, it I believe deserves a good look-see because of where it is, the lat time that place went off it put 30 feet of crap on Kansas, and the crap went all the way to NY, and beyond.
