Approximately 90 percent of all earthquakes and approximately 75 percent of all volcanic eruptions occur along the Ring of Fire. This violent shaking along the Ring of Fire seems to continue a progression of major disasters that began back during the beginning of Apil.
For whatever reason, our planet suddenly seems to be waking up.

7.8 magnitude hits Ecuador on April 16
A powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Ecuador has killed at least 77 people and injured more than 500.

The quake struck at 18:58 local time on Saturday (23:58 GMT) near the northern coastal town of Muisne.

Two smaller quakes were recorded near Ecuador’s coast before and after the 7.8-magnitude temblor, according to the USGS. A 4.8 occurred about 10 minutes before the larger quake, and a 5.4-magnitude earthquake happened 30 minutes after it, the USGS said. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/

Widespread severe damage is reported, with a bridge destroyed as far south as Guayaquil about 300km (190 miles) away.
A state of emergency has been declared in six provinces and the National Guard has been mobilised.
The quake, the country’s largest since 1979, also shook buildings in the capital, Quito.

The US Geological Survey said the earthquake struck at a fairly shallow depth of 19.2km (11.9 miles), about 27km from Muisne in a sparsely populated area.
