Is CNN Lying? Is Lanny Davis, Cohen’s Attorney and Long-Time Clinton Lawyer, Lying?

The answer appears to be yes in both cases. CNN claimed what it called a” blockbuster” scoop that Cohen would testify to Mueller that Trump knew in advance of Trump Tower meeting with Russian lawyer. The network also stated that Lanny Davis refused to comment. Davis stated on TV that he was not the source of the story but now says that he was and that the story was wrong. Why did Davis out himself this way and also undermine his own and his client’s already scant credibility? Perhaps because Cohen saying this to Mueller would make him guilty of perjury in his earlier testimony to Congress? These actions would normally lead to disciplinary action by the NY bar but that group is probably in Davis’s corner. Meanwhile CNN won’t retract or comment.
