Beguiled

In the days leading up to the Great Pandemic of 2020 much of the United States was already in a tail spin of inequality. The rich kept getting richer while the rest of America was floundering is a sea of hopelessness. The responses of government have always been woefully inadequate. And, true to form when this Pandemic struck has been no different. The US is now desperately trying to stave off what is surely becoming a matter for survival for this nation.

Millions already destitute now are faced with an even more grim reality. George Orwell  depicted a future much like the US has morphed into. A future of oppression based on fear. The terrible consequences of the unleashing of this Pandemic has manifested almost to the point of no return for America. The efforts of our government continue to be deplorable. A prime example is when Senator Sanders put forth a bill to cut the Defense budget by only 10% only to have Congress overwhelmingly vote against it proves once again how corrupt our government really is. That 10% could have been used to foster real economic growth for all Americans just when this nation needs an economic boost. But, instead Campaign contributions are more important than serving the welfare of the American public.

Now, when the majority of the population are faced with the uncertainty of their future amidst a global health crisis, the ineptness of the Trump Administration and Congress proves just how dysfunctional our political system is. What his writer is afraid of is that the Democratic Party has been all along setting the stage, beguiling the public and creating the illusion that Joe Biden will some how miraculously recreate the publics perception of the Obama years.

The Obama Administration caused repercussions that have only continued the adverse conditions millions the world over still face. What the public saw and was led to believe was the great illusion perpetrated by a political system that continues to beguile the American public.

So, today with the ravages of this pandemic raging on which has already decimated an already deteriorating economy if the United States doesn’t implement National Economic Reform’s Ten Articles of Confederation which is very similar to what Senator Sanders Campaign was focused on the US will automatically send the rest of the world into a financial and economic calamity on a scale not seen since the Great Depression. The United States is that close to falling into the Abyss and neither Trump, Biden or many members of Congress have the where-with-all on how to keep the US from falling into that Abyss.

It is time that the American public begin to realize that the great illusion that is playing out right before our eyes is a deceptive maneuver by a political process bent on garnishing more power control and wealth. A political system that is beguiling all who fail to see what dangers lie ahead. If we fail to act now and realize what is really at stake by not implementing National Economic Reform’s Ten Articles Of Confederation this nation will not last.
