The Need to Act

If Congress and the Biden Administration fails to act without putting in place the necessary progressive steps to curb the inflationary trends that are strangling the life blood out of the American economy, implement a moratorium on rent increases, evictions etc., eliminate the housing bubble that is about to implode the dire consequences would be too horrific to contemplate.

When people complain but don’t try to motivate themselves and others to try to put together a plan of action needed to solve the internal crisis that threaten everyday life in the United States the crisis only continues Just like we are witnessing today. When people rise up in unison many problems can be rectified. Remember the Occupy Wall Street Movement? It was so close to accomplishing many of its goals. All it needed was more support from the public to get involved and just maybe some of today’s internal problems would be less sever, or maybe eliminated altogether.

The public faces an unresponsive government in terms of the internal struggles facing millions of Americans. Without creating the environment that would ensure financial and economic stability, balance in our society, and bring about the means for millions to climb the ladder of upward mobility the chances of another international crisis will emerge. Thomas Jefferson stated “We are endowed with certain inalienable rights That among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights Governments are instituted among Men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles to affect their safety and happiness. It is our right; it is our duty to throw off such government and to provide new guards for our future security.”

Thomas Jefferson is right, but to affect the changes we need we all should not only remember the warning that Jefferson stated but act now before it really is too late to save our nation from the grip of unresponsive government to the real needs of all Americans. There are progressive steps that must be taken now. But to implement them requires the motivation of the public not to complain but to act.
