High Crimes and Misdemeanors

In an age of unprecedented greed where the top 1% control over 90% of the world’s wealth and governments millions the world over are hopelessly trapped in quagmires of so many lost opportunities.  They are languishing amidst the squalor of their daily existence. The vine of so many lost opportunities has withered and died by government’s disingenuous domestic and foreign policies for decades. 

The failings of government started even before Viet Nam. But it was the Viet Nam era that brought to light how our own government has ignored the publics well-being. Ever since then the United States continues to lose its ability to regain its stature, we had prior to 1968.

The making of greatness for a nation lies with a government responding to the needs of all its citizens. For far too long the needs for millions have been sabotaged by the growing dominance of our political system catering to the 1%. It has been the 1% for decades that have gained control of our political process. A self-perpetuating doctrine of policies engineered and orchestrated for the sole purpose to keep their control over the rest of our society.

What is happening because of this is a nation whose fall from grace is astounding. We have lost our moral compas. Everywhere you travel in the United States the plight of humanity is as grotesque as it can be. Our society is being systematically ripped apart by the sociological interpretations that have been allowed to filter through the long-standing moral virtues our society had for hundreds of years. As a result, we have let this nation slither down a path far removed from what used to be the American Dream.

When our government fails to warn its citizens of impending danger as the case in Maui or continues to funnel billions of dollars overseas, they are ignoring the real and clear imminent threat of the humanitarian crisis brewing within our nation today.

When there is so much at stake in our world today where life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness has been lost in translation it is imperative that we recognize the failings of our political process. A political system composed of elected officials who commit high crimes and misdemeanors against its citizens. For they are the ones who continue to hold the American public hostage.
