Mt.Gox, the world’s largest exchange of Bitcoin in the recent past, published on its website a statement. It said that workers of the exchange have discovered the Bitcoin wallet, wherein turned out to be 200 thousand BTC. It happened the seventh of March. The exchange said the Bitcoins were found in an old-format online wallet which it had thought no longer held any Bitcoins, but which it checked again after its bankruptcy filing. For security reasons it moved the 200,000 Bitcoins from online to offline wallets on March 15.

According to executives of exchange, now in its accounts kept 202,000 Bitcoin. In a statement, issued on behalf of Mark Karpeles, said:

«Taking into account the existence of the 200,000 BTC, the total number of bitcoins which have disappeared is therefore estimated to be approximately 650,000 BTC».

Mt.Gox also said:

«These Bitcoin movements, including the change in the manner in which these coins were stored, had been reported to the court and the supervisor by counsels».
