Will There Be a Crash In One Month on the Shemitah?

Jeff Berwick of The Dollar Vigilante thinks so. And he’s not even religious.

The Shemitah, a wiping away of all debts every 7 years, is quickly approaching, due to arrive on September 13 of this year. That’s literally a month away.

“We’re going to see a major financial crisis, probably happening in the US in the next few months, or at most in the next year or so.”

Every 7 years. Consider that the number seven is God’s favorite number. He created the world in 7 days. There are 7 days to the week, and the number 7 is used 735 times (54 times in the book of Revelation alone). One could even call it a ‘holy’ number. 

In the book of Revelation there are seven churches, seven angels to the seven churches, seven seals, seven trumpet plagues, seven thunders and the seven last plagues. The first resurrection of the dead takes place at the 7th trumpet, completing salvation for the Church.

Seven is the number of completeness and perfection. It derives much of its meaning from being tied directly to God’s creation of all things. 

“The Shemitah is every 7 years in the Judaic religion, in which they have a Shemitah  year, which is supposed to be a year in which you wash away all debts. September 17, 2001 was the end of a Shemitah year. It seems like the end of the year is the more important date, when they really wash away the debts. That was the first day the US stock markets opened after 9-11, after it fell 7%.

The next Shemitah in 2008, 7 years later it fell on September 29, 2015. The Dow Jones fell 777 points on that day, which was the biggest crash at that point in time,” says Berwick.  Does it not strike anyone that the Dow fell 777 points on that day?

Berwick thinks there has got to be something to it, stating, “ I looked back 7 years and in 1994, it was the “Great Bond Massacre” and 7 years prior was 1987’s “Black Monday”. As I looked back I saw all these things happening almost exactly on these Shemitah days.

“This year the Shemitah is on September 13, 2015 which actually is on a Sunday. It will be interesting to see if anything happens on that day. From what I can tell, they either plan things according to this timetable, or else something else is going on-but there seems to be a lot to this Shemitah.”

Berwick is strictly a financial analyst, yet he sees the stunning “coincidence” in the economic crashes occurring every 7 years. He guesses that the ‘elite’ are following this cycle, and timing the events. Yet a Christian would conclude that it’s not the ‘elite’ running the show, but in fact, God.

“We are going to see all the western fiat currencies collapse in the next few years, in my opinion, especially the western ones, which are so indebted. What’s happening with the strong dollar right now is like a tsunami, when the water goes out. It’s really strange. That’s what happened in 2007.

Then it all comes crashing down and we’re going to see a major financial crisis, probably happening in the US in the next few months, or at most in the next year or so,” concludes Berwick.

As world events unfold, I believe that God will reveal His plans more openly and obviously to the man on the street, and the awareness of the Shemitah is just the beginning.
