CONSUMERS MIA FINALLY LOCATED!!!

I Post what I see and experience, but obviously I must be delusional. 

                                           ECONOMIC RECOVERY? 

EXACTLY WHERE IS THIS RECOVERY??? 

COSTCO: New policy…any checks in excess of $300 must be approved by a manager! That suggests that they must be experiencing a significant increase in NSF checks. Not a good sign!   

TARGET: At a large super store I was able to park at the front door. Few customers were in the store and all cashier lanes were closed. Any purchases were to be made through the self check out. 

HOME DEPOT: Another larger outlet. I saw one customer RETURNING a hot water heater. I felt quite outnumbered by staff who were desperate to assist.   In normal economic times I usually cannot find an associate that isn’t swamped.   

KROEGER: Again few customers and the management had decided to keep employees amused by having them engage in a scavenger hunt. It also could serve the purpose of teaching staff where items are located.  

ALL OF THIS TRANSPIRED ON A FRIDAY!  

 I spent the week assisting individuals with housing, social secuity, food stamps and medicaid. THE OFFICES WERE JAMMED TO CAPACITY ! Wait time was in one case OVER 3 HOURS!!!

I inquired from officials working at the offices if this was normal.  

                                              THE NEW NORMAL!!!  

The Worst they had ever seen! Interesting that some of the offices have errected playgrounds and children’s activity centers to occupy them while adults apply for benefits.

Individuals receiving the maximum benefits cannot afford shelter without participating in “SHARED LIVING”. EVEN DOING THIS THE RENTAL ACCOMODATIONS costs ARE SO HIGH THAT THE INDIVIDUALS HAVE NEXT TO NOTHING REMAINING. 

Most of these individuals WERE EMPLOYED…BUT SERVICE INDUSTRY WAGES ARE NOT ADEQUATE TO MEET THE BASIC LIVING EXPENSES!!! 

So this is the NEW NORMAL…

Where is the consumer that is supposed to support the economy? Most are too worried about shelter, heating, food and medical care. Really not much left over after that! 

At least we now know where all the MIA consumers are, and they are not in the stores!
