A number of elected members of Congress have been accused of sexual harassment recently, with Democrats Al Franken and John Conyers forced to resign. Then Democrat Andrea Ramsey dropped out of the Kansas race after a 2005 sexual harassment lawsuit came to light. Claims of harassment scuttled Roy Moore’s bid in Alabama, and old sexual assault accusations from 2013 led a Republican state representative in Kentucky to shoot and kill himself.
Expect this trickle to turn into a flood in the next days as more reports come to light.
