Recession is just a euphemism for depression, which was coined by nixon when he tried to convince americans we were already in one by using the “R” word while running for the whore house in 69. Which of course, business was booming at the time and there was no dip in the economy that mattered.
Then of course, nixon got into office, put in “price and wage controls” and stalled the economy.
The cheney cabal did the same shit in 1999, talking “R” again, just like nixon did. The economy was booming in 1999 with gas under 2 bucks a gallon. Didn’t take the cheney administration 3 years to destroy the economy and drive gas to over 4 bucks a gallon.
The reagan “R” depression was just a continuation and deepening of the nixon depression.
