The Market Ticker - Bye-bye Sanders

Senator Sanders is reported to have been hospitalized with chest pains in Las Vegas.

The problem with being an old man is, well, that you’re an old man.

It gets more-severe if you win, by the way — the office of President isn’t exactly a cake walk.

This ought to end Sanders run.  It probably won’t, but should — and it definitely will play into any future he might otherwise have should he get the nomination.

Like it or not the public will perceive this — and not without cause — as a heart attack, or something close to it.  Unstable angina (e.g. chest pains but not a heart attack) is almost as bad.

Quit now Bernie.  Yeah, I know, you don’t want to.  But let’s face it — falling over dead on the campaign trail isn’t exactly conducive to either winning or enjoying anything more out of this…….
