One Year of Key Events in the COVID-19 Timeline Visualized

Anupa Iman Ghosh, Avery Coop, and Nick Routley of Visual Capitalist put together a stunning chart visualizing one year of the coronavirus pandemic:

We may be somewhat biased since we’ve used the same tower chart format to track the progression of COVID-19 in 56 individual states and territories in the United States over the past year in what we call a skyline tower chart. Because what else would you call it when you see lots of tower charts side by side for convenient visual comparison!

The wide variety of shapes you see mean Americans had very different experiences with the coronavirus pandemic depending on where they lived.
