The Connection Between The Lindsay Clancy Trial, The New Abortion Law In Massachusetts And The Death Of Gloria Steinem

Within the space of 30 days, three seemingly unrelated historic events took place. But as you will see in this article, those three historic events were not actually unrelated at all. I am going to share some facts in this article that are likely to surprise you. All three of the historic events that I am about to discuss are all related to abortion, and they are all related to the state of Massachusetts. I also do not believe that it is just a coincidence that all three of these historic events occurred in such close proximity to one another.

On August 10th, Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey signed a law which will make it legal to perform an abortion at any point during pregnancy in the state of Massachusetts…

Massachusetts eliminated its cutoff for when someone can get an abortion, making it the tenth state — along with Washington, D.C. — to allow the procedure at any point in pregnancy.

“We believe that health care decisions should be made between women and families and their doctors, not politicians,” Gov. Maura Healey, a Democrat, said Monday at a bill-signing ceremony. “Abortion will remain safe, it will remain legal and it will remain accessible here in Massachusetts. That’s my commitment to you.”

Most abortions happen within the first trimester, and very few take place after 24 weeks, the previous limit for abortion in the Bay State. Those that do occur after that point often involve situations in which doctors discovered a fetal anomaly late in pregnancy.

There are now 10 states (plus Washington D.C.) that have no gestational limits on abortion.

Any American that wants an abortion at any stage during pregnancy just has to travel to one of those states.

Today, there are only 8 countries in the entire world where you can get an abortion all the way up to birth.

That puts us in a very selective club.

Less than 30 days after the new abortion law in Massachusetts was signed, another historic event took place.

On September 2nd, feminist icon Gloria Steinem suddenly died…

Gloria Steinem, the indefatigable feminist and journalist whose activism revolutionized the personal and professional lives of women, has died.

She was 92.

Steinem “passed away peacefully at her home in New York City, surrounded by some of the many who loved her,” a post on her official Instagram page said Thursday. It added that she died Wednesday, although it did not give a cause of death.

Steinem had deep ties to the state of Massachusetts, because she graduated from Smith College…

Steinem graduated from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, in 1956 and went on to co-found Ms. Magazine and the National Women’s Political Caucus. She fiercely advocated for social justice and reproductive freedom throughout her life.

There are very few women that did more to promote abortion in America than Steinem did.

After she passed away, one pro-abortion organization remembered her as a “leader who helped build the modern reproductive freedom movement”…

Gloria Steinem, the writer, organizer, and leader who helped build the modern reproductive freedom movement, died on Wednesday in New York City at the age of 92. Across six decades, Steinem changed the way Americans talk about abortion and moved women’s rights into the center of American politics. Steinem worked closely with NARAL leaders throughout her life of advocacy.

Reproductive Freedom for All President and CEO Mini Timmaraju released the following statement:

“Gloria Steinem was a fearless champion for reproductive freedom. Years before Roe, when abortion was largely illegal and very stigmatized, Gloria talked openly about her own abortion. She spent the next six decades making it possible for other women to advocate for reproductive freedom without shame. We will honor her the way she would want us to: by never giving up.”

Her death shocked the nation.

Two days later on September 4th, Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial because the jury that had been selected could not come to a unanimous decision about Lindsay Clancy’s fate…

Lindsay Clancy’s triple-murder trial ended in a mistrial Friday, following a last-minute appeal by her attorney to prevent the outcome after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict.

The jury weighing Clancy’s fate was sent back twice to deliberate but said that “with a heavy heart” it was ultimately unable to reach a verdict after seven days of deliberations.

With the deadlock, Judge William Sullivan told the court he would declare a mistrial in the case, prompting Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, to announce his intent to appeal to Massachusetts’ top court, an effort which ultimately failed.

We are being told that 11 of the 12 jurors believed that Lindsay Clancy should not be held criminally responsible for killing her three children long after they were born.

Perhaps that shouldn’t come as a shock since all of the jurors were from the ultra-liberal state of Massachusetts.

Thankfully, there was a single juror that was willing to take a stand for what is right.

All throughout the trial, large crowds of Lindsay Clancy supporters showed up at the courthouse, and vast numbers of women on social media staunchly defended her.

I think that says a lot about where our society is today.

During the 1970s and 1980s, Gloria Steinem and other pro-choice advocates were trying to convince the public that abortion early in pregnancy was not a big deal because they believed that a fetus was just “a clump of tissue”.

Subsequently, many states started to make abortion legal later and later in pregnancy, and today there are 10 states (plus D.C.) that have no limits at all.

And now it appears that a significant portion of the female population of this country seems to think that women shouldn’t be held responsible for killing their children long after they are born.

That is scary.

According to the most recent Gallup survey, 56 percent of U.S. women identify as pro-choice, and according to the Pew Research Center 64 percent of U.S. women believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases.

On the flip side, polls have shown that support for banning abortion in all cases is in the low teens.

There was great celebrating among those that are pro-life when Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022.

But since then the number of abortions in the United States has gone up every single year.

God is watching us kill even more of our children day after day, and the clock is ticking.
